One of the famous places to visit around Shirdi, the Chavadi is another important place associated with Sai Baba. It was where he used to sleep during the last ten years of his life. He was transferred to this spot by his devotees on a rainy day when the Masjid in which he slept began to leak. Since that time, Baba used to return to Chavadi every other night to sleep. After he attained Samadhi, the area was acquired by the Sansthan. Now a protected shrine, you can find few books and scriptures that Sai Baba read.
